The Fire Preparedness Committee will discuss the new requirements affecting certain community and homeowner fences, along with several proposed fencing styles currently under consideration.

Residents will have an opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback before the community moves to the next stage of the selection process.

There will be a Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, September 10 at 4:00 p.m. in the Meeting Room and via Zoom for a presentation of a Community Wildfire Risk Assessment prepared for Auberge.

The assessment was prepared by LandWorks Wildfire Consulting, which was referred to Auberge by San Diego Fire-Rescue Assistant Fire Marshal Alex Kane. It evaluates Auberge’s overall wildfire exposure and resilience and identifies priorities for reducing risk over time.

The presentation will be given by Oscar Saucedo, President & CEO of LandWorks, Inc. Mr. Saucedo also serves as a Battalion Chief with San Diego Fire-Rescue and is an NFPA Certified Wildfire Mitigation Specialist (CWMS) and Home Ignition Zone/Defensible Space Inspector.

Mr. Saucedo will review the assessment’s key findings and recommendations and answer residents’ questions.

The south half of the Dog Park will be closed Monday July 13, 2026 at 7:00am to Friday July 17, 2026 at 9:00am. The purpose of closure is to remove three benches and pour three concrete pads. Benches will be installed on the new concrete pads Tuesday July 21, 2026.
